You approve everything first
You and your accountant review and approve every technical description, cost schedule, and credit figure before anything is filed.
What is included in a MITRAS engagement.
Included in the fee
- ✓An initial review of the research and of which organization can claim it
- ✓A review of research agreements, grant terms, and hospital or university arrangements
- ✓The technical report describing what was unknown, what was tested, and what was learned (Form T661)
- ✓Calculation of eligible salaries, fellow stipends, contractor costs, and materials
- ✓Provincial credit forms, such as Quebec RD-1029 or Ontario Schedule 508
- ✓A complete filing package prepared together with your accountant
- ✓Support through any CRA or Revenu Québec review, at no extra cost
Not included
- ✕Your corporate tax return, which stays with your accountant
- ✕Bookkeeping or personal tax returns
- ✕Legal opinions on corporate structure
- ✕Routine patient care, which is outside SR&ED
