When you work with MITRAS, you work directly with me. I lead the research interview, write the technical report, prepare the financial schedules, work with your accountant, and stay with the file if the CRA reviews it.
I focus on medical and life-science research. You already know what your team tested and why. My job is to explain what could not be known in advance, what you tried, what you learned, and which research costs may belong in the claim.
The work

- 04Stay with the file and answer the CRA if questions come up.
Why specialization matters
Medical research rarely fits neatly into one organization.
A project may involve your professional corporation, a hospital, a university, a sponsor, or a research institute. That matters because the corporation making the claim must be connected to both the research and the costs.
I work with your accountant rather than taking their place. Together, we check the technical report and the cost schedules so the tax return matches the research records. You and your accountant review the important assumptions before anything is filed.
Clear boundaries
MITRAS advises on SR&ED claims and works with your accountant on the corporate filing. I do not provide medical care or legal advice. You do not need to send patient names or personal health information for the first conversation. The discussion can start with the research question, the work performed, the corporation involved, and the broad types of cost.
